The producer of Linda Lovelace biopic “Inferno” didn’t waste any time replacing the fired Lindsay Lohan, who was judged to be “uninsurable.”

Actress Malin Akerman, whose credits include “Couples Retreat,” “Watchmen,” “27 Dresses” and “Wanderlust” has been confirmed to play the doomed 70s porn star in the film taken from “Ordeal: An Autobiography” by Linda Lovelace with Mike McGrady. As these photos show, Malin has all the qualifications necessary to play a porn queen!

Think she's just making headlines for her hair color and court appearances?

As our own Marc Malkin previously confirmed, Lindsay Lohan is indeed playing Linda Lovelace, star of the 1972 X-rated sensation Deep Throat, in the upcoming film Inferno.

And while it was her recent appearances in Cannes that were designed to call attention to director Matthew Wilder's take on the late porn star turned antiporn crusader...

We're betting that these photos by Tyler Shields will do the trick a bit more effectively.

Though, to be fair, Wilder said Lohan did a great job in Cannes.

"She indeed did some terrific promotion of the film...which you will see shortly," Wilder told E! News exclusively. "Her appearance there sparked an enormous amount of international interest in the picture."

Linda Susan Boreman (January 10, 1949 – April 22, 2002), better known by her stage name Linda Lovelace, was an American pornographic actress who was famous for her performance of deep throat fellatio in the enormously successful 1972 hardcore porn film Deep Throat.

Boreman was born in The Bronx, New York City, the daughter of a policeman and a mother she claimed was very strict. Her parents were Roman Catholic, and Boreman attended Catholic schools, including St. John the Baptist in Yonkers, New York, and Maria Regina High School, in Hartsdale, New York.She was nicknamed "Miss Holy Holy" in high school because she kept her dates at a safe distance. When Boreman was 16, her family moved to Florida.In her 1980 autobiography, Ordeal, she said she gave birth to a son in 1969 when she was 20, and her mother put the child up for adoption. Boreman said she had been told the child was only being put in foster care until she was ready to care for him, and was heartbroken to learn she would never see him again.Boreman moved back to New York in 1970. She was involved in a violent car crash, requiring her to undergo a blood transfusion which would lead to later health problems. She returned home to recover.

While recovering at her parents' home, Boreman became involved with Chuck Traynor. According to Boreman, Traynor was violent and controlling. She said he forced her to move to New York, where he became her manager, pimp and husband.

Boreman was soon performing as Linda Lovelace in hardcore "loops", short 8mm silent films made for peep shows. She starred in a 1971 bestiality film titled Dog Fucker or alternately Dogarama. She later denied appearing in the film, until several of the original loops proved otherwise.In 1972, Boreman starred in Deep Throat, which achieved surprising and unprecedented popularity among mainstream audiences, even a review in The New York Times. In Deep Throat she famously performed the act for which the film was named; additionally, all of her pubic hair was shaved off and she engaged in anal sex. None of these were common in pornographic films of the early-1970s.
