Tuesday, September 7, 2010
She’s always had a special interest in humanitarian efforts, and Angelina Jolie arrived in Northwestern Pakistan today (September 7) to help flood victims.

The “Changeling” chick donned a long black robe with a black headscarf as she met with people displaced by the recent flood, deemed to be the worst natural disaster Pakistan has ever experienced.

Following her conversations with everyone from an elderly couple to a group of mothers who have lost their children, Jolie has a strong resolve to make a difference as a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

She explained, "I am very moved by them and I hope that I am able to, today and tomorrow, be able to do something to help bring attention to the situation for all of the people in need in Pakistan."

"MANGELINA" JOLIE??? ERRRK....!

Monday, August 23, 2010
For one of the world's most beautiful women, Angelina Jolie doesn't make a bad-looking man.

The Hollywood star spent hours in make-up donning fake ears, a fake nose and a latex neck covering to achieve the stunning transformation for her latest movie, Salt.

The effect was so convincing that when her family visited her on set in New York, husband Brad Pitt refused to kiss her and their nine-year-old adopted son Maddox did not even recognise her.

Miss Jolie said: 'I invited Maddox to come and say hi and didn't tell him who I was.

'He hung out with me for a while until I said ''Mad'' - and when he realised it was me he was just freaking out.

'Brad wouldn't kiss me either, he wouldn't go there.'

In the film, an action thriller, the 35-year-old actress plays CIA operative Evelyn Salt who is accused of being a Russian spy.

Salt was released in the UK on Friday and has received mixed reviews.

It has been reported that Miss Jolie is to play Marilyn Monroe in a new movie, but she denied that at Salt's London premiere.

She said: ‘I don’t know anything about it.’

ANGELINA JOLIE WOWS FRENCH FANS!

Tuesday, August 17, 2010
When embarking on a worldwide promotional movie tour, it can be difficult to come up with the right outfits to wear on the red carpet.

But after an unusual dress choice at the London premiere, Angelina Jolie definitely went for the wow factor as she arrived at the premiere of Salt in Paris, France, wearing a daringly low cut dress.

The 35-year-old actress looked stunning in the white sparkly Pamella Roland dress, which she teamed with satin Salvatore Ferragamo heels and a chic up do, as she greeted fans at the event.

The outfit made the most of Angelina's figure and highlighted her tiny waist - something the Amanda Wakeley gown she chose for the London premiere failed to do.

Jolie is currently on a European tour to promote the new thriller, in which she plays CIA Agent Evelyn Salt.

And because spending time away from her family and partner Brad Pitt for a long period of time is difficult for the actress, she has decided to bring two-year-old twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon with her.

Asked who was with her, Jolie told Usmagazine.com: 'Just the babies. I'm having some special baby time.'

But she added taking the children away from their siblings and father was a tough decision, explaining: 'We're very much a united front. They can't get Mommy to do something Daddy wouldn't. We're very much the same.

'But we take turns working and we bring the kids to each other's sets, so we try to stay together.'

Jolie also revealed that her six children are becoming used to being on the movie set, because she used to take them with her while she was shooting Salt.

She said: 'I would bring them in early in the mornings...and I'd let them use the fake blood. So we play together, they try on my wigs, they play with the blood.

'But they know it's all silly! They test the harnesses and we have them flying around. They know what it is.'

The 35-year-old actress is set to play Monroe in an adaptation of Andrew O'Hagan's The Life And Opinions Of Maf The Dog, And Of His Friend Marilyn Monroe, the author revealed at the Edinburgh Book Festival yesterday.

While Scarlett Johansson and Christina Hendricks had previously been in line for the role, it was eventually decided Jolie would be the best choice to play Monroe in the new film.

O'Hagan's novel tells the story of Monroe's final two years before her death in 1962 through the eyes of her pet Maltese terrier Maf - a gift from My Way singer Sinatra in 1960.

As well as meeting Monroe's friends including former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, Maf also accompanied the star to acting classes and restaurants.

When she received the dog from Sinatra, Monroe decided to call it Mafia - a joke reference to Sinatra, before shortening the name to Maf, or Maf Honey.

In the book, written entirely from Maf's perspective, the canine comments: 'She was an artist to her fingertips... a strange and unhappy creature, but at the same she had more comedy to her than anybody I would ever know. More comedy and more art.'

When Monroe died in August 1962 aged 36, Maf was inherited by Sinatra's secretary Gloria Lovell.

It has not yet been revealed who will be voicing Maf in the movie.

Jolie is currently in London promoting new movie Salt, in which she stars as CIA agent Evelyn Salt, and will appear at the premiere in Leicester Square tonight.

Speaking about the possibility of starring in a sequel of the film, which has already proved a box office hit in America, Jolie said: 'I'd love to do a sequel. You never know if you're going to get the chance, if audiences are going to love it.

'But particularly with this character, I think there is so much yet to explore in her life with her - with her family, with coming to terms with who she is in the end, because of the way it's set up, she could be anybody.

'As an actress, and somebody who loves to travel, it would be nice to be able to explore the world with her.'

ANGELINA JOLIE "ROUGH" IN SALT

Saturday, July 10, 2010
Angelina Jolie looks "rough" in her new movie 'Salt'.

The 35-year-old beauty admits her turn as CIA officer Evelyn Salt is one of the most unglamorous roles she has ever taken on.

She said: "Females in those films rely on being female but we wanted to ignore that - she's just Salt.

"She doesn't use her sexuality to get anything. In fact, in many ways it's the roughest I've looked because when you fight it gets ugly and if someone breaks your nose it's not pretty."The part of Evelyn Salt came about as a result of a script change - the role was originally meant to be played by a man - and Angelina admits it was tough to adapt the screenplay to have a woman as the lead character. She told Total Film magazine: "It was much harder than we thought to switch it from a male to a female because the challenges and surprises or how a man would react to a certain situation are not necessarily the same when it's a woman."For example, the original character was married and he had a child and part of the discovery at the end was that he would find love. But for a woman the discovery of love is not a deep surprise."

ANGELINA JOLIE "NEEDS" BRAD

Wednesday, July 7, 2010
Angelina Jolie says she and Brad Pitt "need" to be together.

The actress - who raises six children, adopted trio, Maddox, Zahara and Pax, and biological kids Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, with Brad - insists she and the Hollywood heartthrob always make quality time for eachother without their kids to keep the spark in their romance.

She said in an interview with Parade magazine: "The children certainly tie us together, but a relationship won't hold if it's only about the kids. You also must be really interested in each other and have a really, really wonderful, exciting time together. We do. Brad and I love being together. We enjoy it. We need it, and we always find that special time. We stay connected. We talk about it. It's very important."

Angelina, 35, also revealed one of the most amazing things about Brad, 46, is that he loves her unconditionally and accepts all her "flaws".

She added: "If Brad and I are strong and happy, then our kids have happy parents, and that's the best thing we can give them. Brad knows me completely, exactly as I am, every part of me. He loves me. The kids love me. They know all my flaws and all my oddities. And they accept them. And so I can feel complete."
