Juliette Lewis took time out from her rock 'n' roll schedule for a beach holiday with friends in Los Cabos, Mexico, this weekend.

The 37-year-old showed off her toned figure in an orange and white two-piece swimsuit as she prepared for a boat cruise.

She also gave onlookers a cheeky glimpse of the large coloured tattoo that covers part of her derrière.

The design, which was only partly visible, is one of three tattoos; she also has a bunny rabbit inked on her left wrist, which she calls My Melody, and a small heart on her upper back.

During the outing, she certainly received the VIP treatment and was seen getting a lift aboard the boat by a companion.

Juliette became a fixture on the rock scene after abandoning movies to focus on music in 1993.

The star, who received an Oscar nomination for 1991's Cape Fear when she was only a teenager, has put most of her efforts into her band Juliette and the Licks.

'It's sort of when I decide to do something, I'm gonna do it all the way,' she has said.

'In my head, in my creative heart, I wouldn't have been able to do both.'

The star proved herself to doubters by not only playing overseas and at rock festivals like Lollapalooza, but also small clubs and venues.

'In the beginning, they're just curious,' she says, laughing. 'So the expectations are really low. So that was great for me.

'But then after that you get the people who are really digging what you're doing and your music.'

She released two albums, wrote songs and collaborated with rockers like Dave Grohl.

But it seems Juliette hasn't completely given up on acting.

She has recently starred in the Jennifer Aniston comedy The Switch and the heavy-hitting Mark Ruffalo film Sympathy for Delicious.

And she also appears in the Robert Downey hit comedy Due Date, where she plays a cannabis dealer.

But it is her role as Roseanna Perry in new film Conviction, the true story of a woman who transforms herself from a high school dropout to a lawyer to win freedom for her wrongly accused brother, that has won her critical acclaim.

Her role is only two scenes, but it is pivotal to the movie. She had to master a Boston accent and wear fake rotten teeth for the part.

The Canadian beauty wore a selection of uber-hot swimwear and stockings as she strutted her stuff on the runway at Colony nightclub in Hollywood.

At one point, the ultra teeny bikini bottoms she wore clearly displayed her lower abdomen 'respect' tattoo....... isn't it ironic?

Nicole also donned a plunging black one piece that was open down to the waist and drew attention to her ample breasts.

Beach Bunny Swimwear is a popular California-based line known for its sexy styles.

24-year-old Nicole first graced the cover of Playboy in January 2007, as the men's magazine's Playmate of the Month.

The following year she was named 2008 Playmate of the Year in the June issue of Playboy, making her the first Canadian to grab that title in 26 years, and the third overall.

Long before becoming a Playmate, the curvaceous brunette began her modelling career at age six.

She appeared in numerous publications and fashion shows.

At one point Nicole studied hotel management at George Brown College in Toronto, but dropped out to continue her modelling career.

Nicole last hit the headlines following a violent altercation with Girls Gone Wild head honcho, Joe Francis.

In August of last year Nicole dumped her drink on Francis in retaliation for Francis' overtly aggressive behaviour towards the model's friend during a party at Guys and Dolls nightclub in West Hollywood.

Nicole alleges that Francis then grabbed her by the hair, punched her in the face, dragged her down to the ground and starting kicking her.

The incident was caught on camera and RadarOnline posted it on their website.

After viewing the tape and examining interview regarding the incident from Nicole and Francis the DA's office decided not to press charges.

She has described the new campaign as '1960s pin-up girl meets futuristic biker chick.Beyoncé appears to have embraced one of the top trends of 2010: body art. First seen in the Spring Summer 2010 Chanel ready-to-wear show, temporary tattoos have been a hit with celebrities over summer.

But in true Beyoncé style, she has taken it to the next level with customised artwork covering her legs, arms and back. The tattoos include chains, spiders, wings, skulls and what appears to be a spine that runs the length of her back.

Dereon's Fall line includes some dramatic studded leggings, lace biker shorts, fierce shoulders and high-waisted hot pants.

After completing an incredible 110 city tour for I Am... Sasha Fierce in 2009, the hard-working Single Ladies singer decided to to take an extended break from work.

'When I got home,' she told USA Today in January, 'I wrote out a contract with myself. I made a list of everything I want to do that has nothing to do with music.

'Well, some of it does. But I promised myself that I would not go back on tour or in the studio until I finished these things.'

Her to-do list included: 'random things. I want to go to restaurants, maybe take a class, see some movies and Broadway shows,' and spending time with five-year-old nephew, Daniel.

But she didn't exactly stick to her 'contract', returning briefly in March to record and film a video for Telephone with Lady Gaga. The epic clip, which was banned from several TV stations for its explicit content, has received over 74.4 million hits on YouTube.

But working in the middle of her self-imposed holiday has paid off for the savvy star, as the video has earned her five MTV Video Music Awards nominations. Beyoncé and Gaga have earned nods in the best pop video, female video, collaboration, choreography and art direction categories in the awards show to be held September 12th.

Angelina Jolie's wearing her heart on her thigh.

The 35-year-old actress flashed a new tattoo on her inner thigh in the August issue of Vanity Fair, a week after premiering some new swirls on her arm at the Mexican premiere of "Salt."

Jolie’s new ink was exposed when she posed in short shorts for the fashion magazine's cover spread.

"Um, it's for Brad," she told /20100709/story.jhtml">MTV News when asked about the body art.

Though the 35-year-old actress admitted that she thinks it's important to be "completely honest" in her relationship, she remained mum on any details about her tat.


But according to reports, the tattoo marks her romantic history and her thoughts on love.

Fans may however look forward to hearing more about the tat from Jolie herself in the future.

"I'm bad at hiding secrets," she told MTV.Jolie's new movie, "Salt," premieres July 23, which will be the first time Pitt will see it.
