Los Angeles - Lindsay Lohan finally bagged a new lawyer - just days before her scheduled debut in county jail.Famed attorney Robert Shapiro, a member of O.J. Simpson's "dream team," confirmed Friday he's repping the "Mean Girls" star - with strings attached.
In a statement to the Associated Press, Shapiro said Lindsay must accept the fact she's going to jail and court-ordered rehab and follow the rules of probation if she wants to keep him on board.
"I have agreed to represent Ms. Lohan on the condition she comply with the terms of probation, including a requirement of jail, imposed by Judge Marsha Revel," Shapiro said in a statement."Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with," he added.
Shapiro has deep experience with addiction. His son Brent bounced in and out of rehab as a teen and died at 24 after mixing Ecstasy with alcohol.
Lohan, 24, immediately sought new representation after a judge slapped her with the 90-day jail term last week.
The fed-up judge found that Lohan missed court-ordered alcohol education classes and showed a pattern of deception in her 2007 DUI case.
Lohan wanted to file an immediate appeal, a source told the Daily News, and used her Twitter account to offer a critique of "perverted" sentencing guidelines.
