Actor Michael Douglas has a tumor in his throat that doesn't appear to be life-threatening, according to his spokesman.The Oscar winner will undergo eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy and is expected to make a full recovery, spokesman Allen Burry told the Daily News.
Bury declined to comment on the type of cancer, when it was first detected and when treatment would begin.
"I have no further details," he said."I am very optimistic," Douglas, 65, said in an official statement.
Douglas, who's married to actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, is in Oliver Stone sequel "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," due Sept. 24.
