It seems barely a week goes by without Paris Hilton being detained by the authorities for one reason or another. However, this time it seems she hasn't done anything wrong - well nothing new anyway.

The heiress was held by immigration officials at Tokyo airport for six hours today in connection with her recent guilty plea on cocaine possession charges. Apparently, Japan is very strict when it comes to letting people with drug convictions enter the country.After her release, Paris’ rep said in a statement: "Paris Hilton was delayed by immigration authorities at a Japanese airport this evening after arriving for business obligations planned many months earlier.

Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn't want to let down her brands and many Asian fans. She intended on fulfilling her contract and is trying hard to do the responsible thing, but this is beyond her control. She is very disappointed by tonight's events."

Paris must remain at an airport hotel until the immigration authorities decide whether she can stay in Japan. It's reported that she is staying at the $60 a night Airport Rest House, while sister Nicki is enjoying the hospitality at a 5 star hotel in Tokyo.

Paris Hilton pleaded guilty in a Las Vegas court on Monday to misdemeanor charges of possession of cocaine and obstructing an officer and received one year of probation, a $2,000 fine and 200 hours of community service. If she violates that probation, she will serve one year behind bars in the Clark County Detention Center, Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure said.

She confessed to having 0.8 gram of cocaine in her purse the night of Aug. 27, then admitted she'd lied to police about the purse not being hers.

And that's exactly what Paris Hilton and her boyfriend Cy Waits did on Monday - escaping their legal woes and jetting off for a romantic Hawaiian getaway.

The hotel heiress looked like she didn't have a care in the world as she frolicked in the surf and walked hand in hand on the beach with her recently unemployed boyfriend.

If Hilton is worried about her recent Las Vegas bust for cocaine possession she certainly isn't letting on, with a smile permanently plastered on her face.

Then on Sunday Hilton tweeted cheerfully throughout the day: 'I Love Scuba Diving - Look a rainbow for good luck,' she wrote. 'I felt like Ariel the little mermaid under the sea today. So much fun!...I love Maui.'

She didn't just frolic with her boyfriend though, Hilton also took in a little culture - hitting up some local art galleries: 'There are so many amazing art galleries in Maui,' she wrote. 'I love it!...so many unique pieces of work.'

On Monday the pair were spotted out shopping, with Hilton picking up a few pairs of earrings.

The holiday pictures are the first time the pair have been snapped together since Hilton was arrested for possessing cocaine when her car was stopped by police in Las Vegas late on August 27.

Waits was also arrested for DUI during the night out with his girlfriend.

The former club promoter has also been fired from his job after less than a week as top managing partner of the Tryst Nightclub at Wynn and XS The Nightclub at Encore.

A spokesman said: 'Cy Waits has been separated from the company and is free to pursue other interests. Wynn has no further comment on this matter.'

Meanwhile Hilton's legal woes continue to build with news that she may be forced to cough up $160,000 for breaching the terms of a film contract.

Last week, Florida District Judge Federico Moreno ruled that Hilton violated the terms of of her contract with Worldwide Entertainment when she failed to promote 2006 movie Pledge This! in Europe.

However, there was a small amount of good news for the embattled star.

While Worldwide Entertainment wanted Hilton's $1 million fee in compensation for her neglected duties, the court found 'that these instances of failure to promote were worth $160,000.'

Paris Hilton was banned Wednesday from two Wynn casinos where her boyfriend worked until they were busted for drugs on the Las Vegas Strip.

A statement from the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore gambling meccas did not explain why the hotel heiress was no longer welcome. It said her squeeze, Cy Waits, had been "separated" from his job there.

The news came as police revealed that when they stopped Hilton and Waits' SUV on Friday, they discovered a marijuana butt."Vehicle inventory turned up a 'roach,' white piece of rolled paper w/green leafy sub[stance] inside. It was wet [and] unable to be tested," says the arrest report.

"I could smell marijuana coming out of the vehicle. Pulled up to passenger side, [and] driver stated he just got done smoking."

Prosecutors have not filed charges against Waits. Hilton was charged with felony drug possession after cops found 0.8 gram of cocaine in her purse.

Paris Hilton's cocaine arrest could carry serious penalties, but sources say the socialite isn't stressed.

Hilton is telling friends she's "not worried about it," TMZ reports.

The heiress was arrested Saturday for cocaine posession when police saw her drop a bag of drugs from her purse.

Hilton, who has already had two drug-related brushes with the cops this summer, doesn't think the bust was a big deal, according to TMZ.

After the arrest, the blond bombshell wowed fans with a suprisingly stunning mug shot.

It turns out the pretty photo was no fluke -- Hilton spent the afternoon getting glam at a luxe Las Vegas salon.Hilton had her hair freshly highlighted for the night on the town, and posed for photos with stylist Boychuck, UsMagazine.com reported.

Though the hotel heiress is remaining relaxed about her situation, E Online reports her arrest could have easily been avoided.

Alicia Jacobs, a Las Vegas entertainment reporter, tells E that after interviewing Hilton she offered her a limo to use for the rest of the night.

Hilton declined.

"No," she told Jacobs. "My boyfriend [Cy Waits] will be driving us tonight."

Hilton and Waits were both taken into custody after being pulled over for the "vapor trail and the odor of marijuana" coming from their Cadillac Escalade.

It was while police were questioning Waits that they discovered Hilton was hiding drugs.

Paris Hilton is denying the cocaine allegedly found in her car in Las Vegas last night is hers.

It is the same defence she successfully used when facing drug charges in South Africa last month.

Hilton insists the purse in which the drugs were allegedly found by police doesn't belong to her, sources close to Hilton have told celebrity website TMZ.

And she has hired high-powered Vegas attorney David Chesnoff to handle the case.

Although Hilton was the only woman in the car that was stopped, she had been partying earlier at a club where her purse could have been mixed up with someone else's, says TMZ.

Hilton was arrested for possessing cocaine after her car was stopped by police in Las Vegas.

Her boyfriend Cy Waits, who was driving the car, was booked on charges of DUI.

The socialite was booked into the Clark County Detention Center early this morning on a charge of possession of cocaine.

And she was released at around 2.30 am local time on Saturday.

Police say she was in a car driven by a friend that was stopped when officers noticed what they suspected to be marijuana smoke coming from it.

During the stop officers found what appeared to be a controlled substance on Hilton and tests showed that it was cocaine. It is not clear how much of the drug was found.

Police spokesman Marcus Martin described events leading up to Hilton's arrest.

'Officers noticed a vehicle leaving a smoke trail of a contolled substance (and) made a stop based on that,' he said.

He did not know how much cocaine had been found.

Hilton was quickly recognised by passers-by and a crowd gathered around the area where the vehicle had been pulled over.

Four years ago the reality TV star was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and sentenced to 45 days in prison.

She ended up spending 23 days in jail in June 2007.

On her release, she told Larry King that the experience caused her to re-evaluate the role partying played in her life.

She said she wanted 'to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis.'

The heiress was arrested again this summer after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on suspicion of possession of marijuana. The case was then dropped at a midnight court hearing.

Hilton's manager was not available for comment today. Her publicist Dawn Miller was not responding to emails.

Paris Hilton has skated on pot charges twice this summer. Now the seemingly Teflon celebutante has to deal with something potentially more serious after getting busted in Las Vegas late last night for possession of cocaine.

Here's what went down, according to the LVPD.

Hilton and gunslinging boyfriend Cy Waits were in a black Escalade on the Strip around 11:30 p.m. when cops saw what they believed was marijuana smoke emanating from the windows. They searched the SUV and found a small amount of cocaine on her.

Hilton, 29, and Waits, 34, were booked into the Clark County jail.

She was charged on a count of felony cocaine possession and released a few hours later. Her tweets following the arrest—"In bed watching Family Guy" and "Going to sleep. Good night everyone, Xoxo Paris"—showed no signs of trouble. Waits remained behind bars on a count of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The arrest caps a whirlwind week for Hilton, who, with the help of Waits, managed to thwart a home invasion on Tuesday morning.

Hilton's lawyer, David Chesnoff, has cautioned that "people not rush to judgment."After all, the heiress, who vowed to reform her party-hearty lifestyle following her 2007 DUI jail stint, did manage to avoid prosecution following her South African bust back in July (her friend took the fall). Weeks later, she was briefly detained in France for pot possession but not charged.

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan, fresh out of jail on charges of violating her probation, may be released early from a court-ordered stint in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, a prosecutor said on Thursday.

Danette Meyers, who recently prosecuted Lohan for violating probation on drunken driving charges, told celebrity news website RadarOnline.com that the "Mean Girls" star may be able to avoid her full 90-day sentence in rehab.

"My understanding from conversations with Shawn Chapman Holley (Lohan's attorney) is that Miss Lohan could be released early from the treatment facility," Meyers told RadarOnline.com. "It is looking as if that (early release) is what the health care professionals are going to recommend."Meyers said she was unsure exactly when Lohan might get out and that a release date would depend on recommendations from people treating the actress. The prosecutor further said that Lohan may have to undergo "follow up treatment."

Lohan, 24, rose to fame in Disney movies like "Freaky Friday," but began to see her career fall apart as Hollywood's nightlife caught up with her. In 2007, she was arrested for drunken driving and cocaine possession and served 84 minutes in jail along with being put on probation.

In July, a California judge sentenced Lohan to 90 days in jail and another 90 days in rehab for missing alcohol education classes imposed as part of her probation on the 2007 charges.

Her prison sentence was cut to 13 days due to overcrowding and on August 2, she left a jail to enter rehab at a facility at the University of California Los Angeles, where she is currently.

The star who says she's “terrified” of heroin, still does “mostly cocaine.”

The Paparazzi singer said, “I won't lie; it's occasional...And when I say occasional, I mean maybe a couple of times a year.”

Lady Gaga maybe OK with taking drugs, but it's something that she doesn't want her fans to emulate.“I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way...I don't want my fans to think they have to be that way to be great.”

In the interview, Lady Gaga also revealed how she hit rock bottom the last time she was on drugs. But instead of going to rehab to clean up, the singer went to her 82 year old grandmother’s house.

"I cried...I told her I thought my life was over and I have no hope and I've worked so hard, and I knew I was good. What would I do now?

“And she said, 'I'm gonna let you cry for a few more hours. And then after those few hours are up, you're gonna stop crying, you're gonna pick yourself up, you're gonna go back to New York, and you're gonna kick some a**.'"
