She's been famous since birth, so Paris Hilton should really have got the hang of dressing for photographers now.

But the 29-year-old socialite appeared to have forgotten all her fashion rules yesterday when she stepped out in Los Angeles wearing a pair of black leggings which turned sheer under the glare of hundreds of flashbulbs.

However, the hotel heiress seemed unaware of her fashion faux pas, and merrily loaded hundreds of shopping bags into her car following a shopping trip with mother Kathy and sister Nicky.

The trio, who were dressed for some serious shopping, donning matching shades, leggings and jackets for their day out, were also joined by family friend Brooke Mueller, the estranged wife of actor Charlie Sheen.

And they put in the hard work at Joans on Third in West Hollywood, California, loading themselves up with bags.

Paris tweeted: 'Just shopping with Nicky Hilton, my mom and Brooke. I love shopping with Nicky, she has the best taste!'

A couple of hours later they left the store, weighed down with shopping bags, and just in time for some refreshing lunch.

Busy Paris is currently filming her new reality show.

But her life isn't all fun - she is also fitting in a spot of community service, and has been spotted removing graffiti as part of her court-ordered work with the Hollywood Beautification Team.

Paris was sentenced to community service after she plead guilty to two misdemeanors - drug possession and obstructing an officer - but avoided jail time.

Instead, she is on probation for a year, must complete a substance abuse program, pay a $2,000 fine, and complete 200 hours of community service.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 - American celebrity Paris Hilton has abruptly cancelled her planned visit here Thursday after being denied entry to Japan Wednesday.

The 29-year-old actress and singer tweeted that she was flying back home after Japanese authorities stopped her from visiting the country due to her drug charge in Las Vegas.

"About to take off. Going home now. So disappointed to miss my fans in Asia. I promise to come back soon. I love you all! Love, Paris," she tweeted before boarding a flight leaving Japan.

She was scheduled to launch her new fragrance called Tease and her Paris Hilton Fall/Winter 2010 handbag collection at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

Tokyo was the first stop on Hilton's planned Asia tour, during which she planned to visit Kuala Lumpur and open a new retail store in Jakarta.

An international news report quoted Hilton's publicist Dawn Miller as saying the celebrity socialite planned to make the trips at a later date.

"Paris is very disappointed and fought hard to keep her business commitments and see her fans, but she is forced to postpone her commitments in Asia," Miller said.

It seems barely a week goes by without Paris Hilton being detained by the authorities for one reason or another. However, this time it seems she hasn't done anything wrong - well nothing new anyway.

The heiress was held by immigration officials at Tokyo airport for six hours today in connection with her recent guilty plea on cocaine possession charges. Apparently, Japan is very strict when it comes to letting people with drug convictions enter the country.After her release, Paris’ rep said in a statement: "Paris Hilton was delayed by immigration authorities at a Japanese airport this evening after arriving for business obligations planned many months earlier.

Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn't want to let down her brands and many Asian fans. She intended on fulfilling her contract and is trying hard to do the responsible thing, but this is beyond her control. She is very disappointed by tonight's events."

Paris must remain at an airport hotel until the immigration authorities decide whether she can stay in Japan. It's reported that she is staying at the $60 a night Airport Rest House, while sister Nicki is enjoying the hospitality at a 5 star hotel in Tokyo.
